Short Term

CHARLOTTETOWN AIRPORT PARKING RATES - Effective September 1, 2007

  • Short Term Parking Lot
    $0.50 per 15 minutes or part thereof, to a maximum of $10.00 per 24 hour period.

  • Long Term Parking Lot
    $1.25 per hour, or part thereof, to a maximum of $8.00 per 24 hour period. $30.00 maximum per week and $75.00 maximum per month.

Rent-a-Car Parking

There are limited spaces close to the arrivals door, four for each rent-a-car company.

If occupied, returning rent-a-car vehicles should be left in the CAR RENTAL RETURNS parking area in a space signed for the company you have leased with. This area is accessed by driving past the front of the terminal building, then along the curved road and the lot is on your right, just before the LONG TERM PARKING lot. It is signed as CAR RENTAL RETURNS.

Short Term Parking Lot

This area is used for parking of short duration, such as:

  • Picking up arriving passengers
  • Dropping off departing passengers, especially when the driver assists the departing passengers with their luggage
  • Any other short term business at the airport

This area is located in front of the terminal building and access is via a Ticket Spitter entrance. Press the button and a ticket is presented. Take the ticket with you into the terminal building, as payment may be made at the PAY STATION next to the Commissionaire’s Booth, when you are ready to leave. Payment may be made by coin, bills, VISA, Master Card, AMEX and Diners. If a receipt is required, press the receipt button following payment and before you remove your ticket from the PAY STATION. (Payment may also be made at one of the two exits, with coin or credit cards. Signage indicates which exit accepts payment.) Both exits accept tickets pre-paid in the terminal building.

Note: Parking rates in the LONG TERM PARKING lot are more economical for daily parking depending on the duration and also for parking of longer durations.

A few parking spaces adjacent to the walkways to the terminal building are designated and signed for persons with disabilities.

Long Term Parking Lot

This area is used for parking of longer durations as it is more economical than the SHORT TERM PARKING area, especially as it has weekly and monthly maximums that benefit long term travel.

This area is accessed by driving past the front of the terminal building, then along the curved road and the lot is on your right, just past the CAR RENTAL RETURNS lot. It is accessed via a Ticket Spitter entrance. Press the button and a ticket is presented.

Payment may be made on your return, at the exit using just credit cards; VISA, Master Card, AMEX or Diners OR at the PAY STATION in the terminal building, next to the Commissionaire's Booth.

If paying in the terminal building, take your ticket with you. Payment may be made at the PAY STATION by coin, bills, VISA, Master Card, AMEX and Diners. If a receipt is required, press the receipt button following payment and before you remove your ticket from the PAY STATION. On leaving the lot, insert the paid ticket in the exit terminal and the arm will lift, letting you out of the lot.
