Runway Rehabilitation Program

The Runway 03-21 & Associated Taxiways Rehabilitation Project is the capstone project of the Charlottetown Airport Authority’s (CAA) Runway Improvement Program. The project consists of the rehabilitation of the main Runway 03-21 and connecting taxiways Alpha, Bravo and Charlie.

The intent is to complete this project over the 2018 construction season.

Runway 03-21 is closed for construction and only available for taxiing. Milling and pulverizing of pavement as well as storm sewer and electrical removal continues. Storm and sanitary sewer installation and construction of the runway end safety area (RESA) for Runway 21 has begun.

Visit our new runway site for full project information.
